What Will You Learn and Do as an Apprentice?
Foundational Skills
- Interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Understanding the properties and applications of various metals (mild steel, stainless steel, alloy steels).
- Safely operating a wide range of specialised hand and power tools.
- Mastering metal cutting, shaping, bending, and forming techniques.
- Accurate measuring, marking out, and layout procedures.
Welding Proficiency
- Comprehensive training in various welding processes (MIG/MAG, TIG, Orbital)).
- Developing practical welding skills and adhering to safety protocols.
- Potential opportunities to work towards industry- standard welding
Assembly and Installation
- Assembling fabricated metal components according to precise specifications.
- Utilising various fastening and joining methods.
- Ensuring accurate alignment and fit of structural and mechanical systems.
Health and Safety

Apprenticeships?
We are seeking individuals with a passion for metalwork, a strong work ethic and an interest in learning new skills. Good attention to detail, problem solving and a positive attitude are important. You should be able to work well in a team and be able to follow instructions. Completion of the Leaving Certificate is required. No prior metal work experience is necessary but all previous work experience is of value.
